In the Field Sept 1916

Dear Frank I received your welcome letter about a week ago. Sorry old chap to hear that you had been ill. I have often wondered why you did not write and I had lost your address. So could not write you & just had to await your pleasure.

Things have been happening of late and life has not been all a bed of roses out here. The strictness of the censorship does not allow of us to give any details but just the
