Coo Lydd Camp - Kent June (5 to 7) 5 MONDAY (157-209) 6th month 1916

Orderly Office all this week - only battery here talking the 6:30 Parade. Take observers on gun-flashes + Prismatic Compass readings

6 TUESDAY (158-208) Talk the men a short route march 6:30 - 7:15 Hold Observers Examination Afternoon whole Battery Medical Inspection - Corp. Belfield + I mark papers in afternoon.

7 WEDNESDAY (159-207)

No less than 11 Parades today as we have 6" Howizer gun - Commencing 6:30 + terminating 10:45 pm - Entirely played out and not fit for anything. Observers carrying on under Corp. Belfield. Find the 6" Howitzer Drill hard to grasp and am thoroughly discouraged.
