9:15 - 10:15 - Inspection Full marching Order by Colonel - Long wait in hot sun, Two men faint.

10:30 - 12 - 2-4 Lecturing to Observers Class

4:45 - 6 - Gun Drill 6" BL Howitxer Walk to Beyhill with Quinton

Very strenuous day - worst yet to come

Wearisome day with Observers' Class - Solution of Triangles with Slide Rule - Talk on French Maps - 4:15 Parade - 40 men for one gun - The obselete material + lack of necessary instruments ender instruction almost impossible. Go to Beyhill with Tom Hinson as be both are utterly fed up with life.

Take class on Directions + lay out Lo + RO with Direction near Battery
