32 Defensible Barracks Pembroke Dock S. Wales

April (17 to 19) 17 MONDAY (108-258) 4th Month 1916

New recruits from Plymouth segrated in married quarters with measles 1 case in 121 Siege. Wearisome day - squad + rifle drill, knotting and lashing Lt. Partridge thrown from his motor-cycle near Fishguard, now lying unconscious in hospital with a fractured scull Blustery, squally day -

18 TUESDAY (109-257) 5h 8m AM (Greenwich)

Usual mixed up day looking after various squads - Get civil occupations of recruits - one speaks 6 languages + another has studied at Trinity (Dublin) + Cambridge -

19 WEDNESDAY (110-256) Hilary Law Sittings end

Wet day - Give 4 lectures on Gunnery - the last to 90 men. Leave 6 pm with draft of 44 men posted to Heavies at Winchester - another W.O. muddle as these men came from Southampton only 10 days before.

No non-coms. but Sergt. Maj. Lashly comes along to help - Trains very slow + several transfers before reaching Bristol.
