Friday October 8th 1915 Putting British & German Trenches on 28SW 1/20,000. Take 2-1/2 hrs. for exercise & visit the Oliviers - The son now in the fighting lines at Argonne & the old lady very worried Jeanne Chieux' brother probably fatally wounded in La Champagne - shot in stomach & thigh - Again invited down - meet two more girls who are employed in the post-office - Two army service non-coms. call - Their English hardly (intelligible) & their French worse - Evidently the girls are the attention. -
