"Major" Gibson gets his commission & is posted to the 16th - His papers took 4 months to go through. as "Major" stood on his second as an officer in the U.S. Ary & wouldn't have "pull" exerted from Canada - Poor old Major - he had the blues far worse than I ever did - Baxter & I used to laugh at him.
