never walk with me again. I am pleased as he is such a slow walker. We got back & had lunch about 3 P.M. Wrote M & Jessie & Cpl Obertell of A Coy 13th KRR Div [illegible] for more information about young Dowe. 7:15 P.M. heavy bombardment.

May 21st Heavy rain.

May 22nd Fairly busy. Had letter from Maud Fletcher & friend.

May 23rd Walked with Wilcocks to R. E. Park & on WAGONLIEU. Met Brook. Came back with him. Very hot. Wrote Maud. Had a letter from mother also cake. Wrote Manuel L.

May 24th Cycled to LAHERLIERE to see Colonel Moody. Saw him & Clark & Cpl Mulen. Had lunch with C.O. of 43rd Group (Col Moody). Then went back to FOSSEAUX. Saw D.A.D.L. Had tea with Colonel Marsh & his Adjutant. My old friend Cofee Capenter of my former Reg who was reported killed in 1915 turned up & also
