& me to the WARLUS Road. Motored into ETREEWAMIN to see my other half Coy. Town Mayor tried to entice us out for the General. On our way back puncture. Very cold. Randerson's son suddenly called.
Mar 9th Again snowing. Very busy on rounds, Mud two feet deep. Houghton gave me a [illegible] paper brief of ARRAS.
Mar 10th Went to LOUEZ Rd with Sgt Pearce & then to R.E. Park back to stone dump, then on to the WARLUS Road & ammunition dump - nothing but mud, mud, mud. Had photo taken. Young Randerson left. Saw Major Good R.E.
March 11th Sunday. Roads in an awful condition. Very busy on rounds. Fair, rain. Bad eye. Wrote Jessie. Received photos taken near DUISANS. Great deal of air fighting also artillery. Men working at DEAD MAN'S CORNER.
Mar 12th Peterson arrived. Left DUISANS in Red X Car as far as AVESNES. Saw Capt Swan & had tea with him. No train running but fortunate enough
