I think you will get the full price for your eggs from your grocers. That is easier than selling to retail customers.

That Buttercup Cock that Baiss shows did not come from me. He had it from the States. It is a splendid bird. The Victoria Poultry shows are poor things now a days. Have you bought the Siberian Hares yet? I am sure there will be money in them.

I nearly always receive a packet of players in your letters and much appreciate them.

To return to the ducks - do you think it advisable to hatch them early or late? I have an idea that they start laying no earlier for being hatched in the Spring and as you have a conscientious objection to having them killed I don't see much force in hatching early. Remember, though, the eggs lose fertility as the spring goes on. I should like to hatch a lot and market them day old. I must stop. You will never be able to read it I know, my hands are like ice.

Please note that I have taken notice of Hilda's P.S. re Col Hall's scheme and shall continue to carry it out.

Please tell Edith that I still hope to write to her next.

With fondest love to you and all and again wishing you very many happy returns

I remain, Your loving brother, Cecil.
