Left Victoria July 15/16 Arrived in England July 31/16

Service in France 54th Batt, B.C. Took part in the battle of Vimy Ridge

Wounded August 15th 1917 on his birthday and was sent to the receiving Hospital at Etaples where he remained until 29th Sept and was then sent back to his Batt, in which he holds the dangerous & responsible position of Batt Runner, which he is still holding at the present time August 1918
