before we were out of the gate. It did not worry us very much though as we had a good breaking in at the Willows.
Perhaps the most notable thing in Folkestone and around the SHORNCLIFFE CAMP’s are the number of girls. They are the boldest I have ever seen or want to. Canadians and Americans are not in it. There is very little for a young fellow to do here but get into trouble. Our squadron on the whole is a very well conducted one and the boys in the tent I am in are a good clean lot. We usually come into town only for purchases or to write letters. There are eleven in the tent which is badly overcrowded, it also leaks badly and we get frightfully wet and mad but it has usually ended in a laugh all around.
