LECTURE ROOMS. All South Camp classes are held in Huts 30, 31, 32, 33, 7th Battn. lines (facing Home Hut, Headquarters Parade Ground). All North Camp Classes are held in Signal Instruction Huts 22-24, 26 and Church Hut 39, C.E.T.D. (near Boxing Arena), Main Road, Centre of North Camp).

CLASSES AT PRESENT ORGANISED.

ELEMENTARY EDUCATION. This is intended for those who have not had educational advantages and wish to learn reading, writing, arithmetic and subjects leading to High School entrance. South Camp, Hut 30, Tuesday and Thursday, 7 p.m.

AGRICULTURE. The course is adapted to those who may wish to live on the land, or engage in business connected with agriculture, also for those with practical experience who wish to gather additional knowledge that a husbandman should possess, of the applied sciences related to the study of farm crops, annuals and stock. The course includes soils, fertilizers, crops and cropping, animal husbandry, etc. Practical demonstrations on Saturday afternoons. South Camp, Hut 31, Tuesday and Thursday,7 to 9 p.m. North Camp, Church Hut, C.E.T.D., Monday and Wednesday, 7 to 9 p.m.

BUSINESS. In addition to those who intend to follow business as a career, almost everyone requires a knowledge of book-keeping, banking, etc. These classes afford the opportunity to secure this. Instruction is given in book-keeping, commerce, shorthand, etc., South Camp, Hut 31, Mondays and Wednesdays, 6 to 8 p.m. North Camp, Hut 24, Signal Lines, C.E.T.D., Tuesday and Thursday, 7 to 9 p.m.

ENGLISH. No subject is of more practical value, for there are few positions of importance in any business or profession open to a man, however clever or skilful, who cannot use correct English. In no way can one increase his value as rapidly as by increasing his power and skill in expressing himself, and in interpreting the meaning of others. The English classes make a feature of this, in addition to taking up the work required for Matriculation and University courses. South Camp, Hut 3o, Monday and Wednesday, 6 p.m. North Camp, Hut 24, Signalling Lines, C.E.T.D., Tuesday and Thursday, 6 p.m.

HISTORY. To understand the present or to foretell the future, a knowledge of history is essential. It is, then, not only a fascinating study, but one of great value, especially to him who aspires to leadership in political or social life. South Camp, Hut 30, Tuesday and Thursday, 7 p.m.

CLASSICS. In addition to their cultural and educational value, Latin is required for most Matriculation and for many University courses, and Greek for theological courses. South Camp, Hut 33, Latin, Tuesday and Thursday, 6 p.m. ; Greek, Tuesday and Thursday, 7 p.m. North Camp, Hut 24, Signalling Lines, C.E.T.D., Latin, Monday and Wednesday, 6 p.m.

MATHEMATICS. Some knowledge of Mathematics is required in every trade, business or profession, especially in engineering. Have you sufficient to carry you to the top of your chosen walk in life? In this department you can find classes in arithmetic, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, analytic geometry and calculus. South Camp, Hut 32, Tuesday and Thursday, 7-9 p.m. North Camp, Hut 26, Signalling Lines, C.E.T.D., Monday and Wednesday, 7-9 p.m.

POLITICAL ECONOMY. This class, which takes up Economics and Politics, should be attended by those who intend to follow Law or Finance, or who wish to get a grasp of the principles which underlie modern business and social conditions. It is a subject which counts towards a University Degree. North Camp, Hut 23, Friday, 7 p.m.

FRENCH. Every soldier should learn to speak French. It is very useful at the Front ; it is useful in business. Much of the best in literature and science is in French. It is a subject in Matriculation and many University courses. South Camp, Hut 30, Monday and Wednesday, 7 p.m. North Camp, Hut 23, Signalling Lines, C.E.T.D. Tuesday and Thursday, 7 p.m. Advanced Class (Conversation), Monday and Wednesday, 7 p.m., at Sutton Corner.

SPANISH. The language of most part of America, from the Southern States of the United States, south. Necessary for those who wish to do business in these parts. North Camp, Hut 23, Signalling Lines, C.E.T.D., Tuesday and Thursday, 8 p.m.

BOTANY. This class is intended for agriculturists, matriculants and all who wish to learn something about the principles and processes of the life of plants they see every day. In addition to lectures, practical experimental work is done. North Camp, Hut 24, Signalling Lines, C.E.T.D., Monday and Wednesday, 7 p.m..

FREEHAND DRAWING. This class is intended for those who desire to increase their skill with the pencil and learn the art of illustrating. Tuesday. 7 p.m., at Sutton Corner.

ENGINEERING. All Engineering classes are held in the Instruction Huts, 22, 23, 24, Signalling Lines, C.E.T.D., near Boxing Arena. For information regarding courses, apply Tunnelling Co. Orderly Room.

TELEPHONY. In civil life, there are great opportunities for men with- both a theoretical and practical knowledge of telephony. The course offers the practical man an opportunity to master the theory underlying his work, and for the man who wishes to take up telephony, to lay the foundation for his future practical work. Provided a man has a good knowledge of mathematics, the course will enable him to qualify as a telephone engineer. It includes wireless transmission of speech. Tuesday and Thursday, 6-7 p.m., Hut 22.
