THE CANADIAN PACIFIC OCEAN SERVICES LTD. MANAGERS AND AGENTS FOR CANADIAN PACIFIC RAILWAY OCEAN STEAMSHIP LINES. THE ALLAN LINE STEAMSHIP COMPANY LIMITED. RMS Minnedosa

JUNE 4TH 1919

Dear Miss Russell:- Just a little note written in mid-ocean, to be posted in Liverpool, to let you know that we are this far on our journey. We would have been in before this but were held up on account of very dense fogs.

I shall not be sorry to get there as I am tired of nothing but water for scenery. There is nothing to do but play cards, read and walk around the decks. They organized one concert which was very good. We are lucky enough to have Miss Phyllis Neilson Terry on board and I can tell you she is some actress.

We were four days late in leaving Montreal. We got there on the 22nd May and the boat was supposed to leave on the 23rd but didn't leave until the 27th. We didn't complain as the C.P.R. paid our expenses in the best hotel and it gave us a chance of seeing the city.
