Form A.G. XI/508c APPENDIX III. PRECIS OF A.C.I. 1069 OR 1917, SO FAR AS IT CONCERNS ADMINISTRATORS.

Object. -- The object of the Corps is to utilise the services of women in certain employments with the Army, in substitution for soldiers, and thus relieve them for combatant service, or for other purposes.

Enrolment.-- All members will be required to enrol for service for a year, or for the duration of the war, whichever is the greater period.

It has been decided that all candidates for posts of Administrators will be required to undergo a probationary period, a course of instruction, and, if proved suitable, to join the Corps in the first instance as Assistant Administrators.

Expenses incurred before entering the Hostel for probationary training, are not admissible as a charge against the public.

Uniform.-- A khaki uniform will be worn by all members Overseas, and by those members at home whose duties take them regularly within the precincts of military camps and barracks.

Administrators and other officials of the Corps who satisfy conditions mentioned above, will in due course be entitled to uniform, and will draw an outfit allowance of £20. No additional grant will be allowed in respect of upkeep.

Promotion.-- There will be opportunities for promotion as occasion arises.

Age.-- Administrators should preferably not be under 25 years of age.

Married Members.-- No married member of the Corps will be eligible for employment Overseas in the same theatre of war as her husband. If the husband is subsequently ordered to the same theatre of war, the woman will be employed on home service.

Aliens.-- Women of alien parentage or extraction will only be accepted under certain conditions.

Rates of Pay.-- The following rates of pay are authorised:-- Unit Administrator £150 and quarters, where over 300 in hostel, £175 and quarters. Deputy Administrator £120 and quarters. Assistant Administrator £120 and quarters. Quartermistress--- Class I £150 and quarters. Class II £120 and quarters.

Deductions.-- A deduction of 15s. 6d. per week will be made in the case of Administrators and other officials living in hostels or billets to cover board, lodging and service.

Accommodation.-- Members of the W.A.A.C. will, if possible, be accommodated in Hostels. Where no Hostels are available, other arrangements will be made in the neighbourhood for housing members near their work. Where accommodation is not available, lodging allowance, at the rate of 2s. 3d. per diem, may be drawn in lieu therof.

Leave.-- Members of the W.A.A.C. will, when possible, be allowed a fortnight's leave with pay, during each year of service. In the case of those serving Overseas, free transport will be provided from their station to their homes and back.

Giving of "Notice."-- No candidate should, on any account, give notice to her employer until after she has been accepted by the Selection and Medical Boards.
