Hello Fred,

Got your letter all right and let them all see it. Snow is falling very hard here for this country. about 9 inches on the ground now. I was sorry to hear of the big Fires up there. Suppose Quesnel will be looking for the Barkerville trade now. they will think more of the old house Town about the premption paper. when you get it from Barber Brown will you kindly sent it on. Fred I am pleased to see by the account you sent me of the way Bark-ve came through C.P.F. I am taking a Lesson on Bomb throwing (Grenades) for 10 Days so I will be that when I get to the trenches it will be a bit exciting. they are some awful weapons.
