Dear Friend Fred,
Its with the greatest pleasure I take the opportunity of writing you a few lines in answer to your always looked for and very interesting letter which I received day before yesterday I am glad to say that I am getting along fine as can be expected under the circumstances I am in good health with the exception of a very bad cold the weather has been very severe here for the last three weeks Zero matter with about seven inches of snow which make it very unpleasant for our kind of work
