all right a few days ago Well Fred I think this will have to be about all I will have to write for this time and I expect you will have quite a time to read it for I am writing it in a hurry and a very short pencil & poor light so just do the best you can with it all the boys join in sending their best wishes to everyone so I think I will conclude by sending you my best regards & good wishes and hoping you all have a Merry Christmas! and a Prosperous & happy New Year

P.S. I heard since I finished writing this that Jack Ellis got wounded and is in hospital their regiment went over to see Fritz the other day I did not hear whether Scotty got hurt or not.
