Somain France 6/2/19

Dear Fred

Just a short last note from France. I am marked to leave for Blighty tomorrow. To have the 28 days leave & discharge I have had to agree to wait, if necessary 6 months for my ships passage. I could have left for Canada at once if I had not wanted a leave in Blighty many men have left this Co for discharge & it was very galling to see men go off who had to be dragged up & who never were in a front
