Dear Mother:

Please excuse my not writing sooner. I have made several attempts but failed.

I received the handkerchief, and will write to thank Myra as soon as you send me her full address. My friend Tores have met the Forbes girls several times. He says they are not half bad.

Frank Christy and I had dinner together before he went into the Hospital, and he sends his regards to the Family.

Tell Myra that the pair socks she gave me for Xmas, are the pride of the army. I only wear them to dances. I saw Mr. & Mrs Melrose down here, but did not speak to them.
