France Feb 1st

Dearest Mother & Father

Here I am again a little further up the line. This is the advanced base and we are kept here until our Coy need us.

The 2nd CMRs are billeted close to us and I have seen quite a few of the old boys, there are only a few left now, and they do not go into the trenches any more. We are having wonderful weather for this time of the year it is more like Sept than Jan & Feb.

One of the boys in our billet is suspected of diptheria so we are all quarantined for a few days. Yesterday
