Dearest Mother & Father

I am in the reserve now and on my way back to France but it wo'nt be for a while yet all the fellows who hav'nt been over have to go first. They have been handing the casualties the dirt all along.

Mr. Richards is our paymaster he was inquiring about you all and wished to be remembered.

I saw in the News that the Postil ranch had been sold for $91,000 and I am awfully sorry that it had to go. Wont that
