A. Coy 3rd C.C.D. Hastings. June 11th [1917?]

Dearest Mother.

Since I last wrote I have been travelling all around the country, ending up here for more training & physical jerks. I was in London last Wed, Thurs, & Friday I do'nt like the place a bit. We went to two or three pretty good shows & spent the rest of our time looking around. There are quite a number of Vernon people here. Joyce Morkil, Clyde S. Chick Carew. Woodcock Beattie was here a short time ago but is in Seaford now. Hastings is quite a nice place. it is on the sea
