I will be a regular old soldier by the time we get discharged. I had a letter from Vernon and told me he was going to enlist. I hope that they do come over I will be in England. I could give them a lot of advice about France. I am getting tired of England so if nothing turns up soon I hope to go back to France. I hav'nt met any of the officers that you know yet. we are quite a ways from Shornecliffe (near Brighton).

It should be real nice in summer but being in the army spoils everything. you are falling in and standing to all the time and if you ar'nt doing that you are on guard. We will all be home soon now and I wont take long to forget all about it.
