My Darling Mother

Elizabeth's letter arrived yesterday telling me the sad news of Uncle. It was a great shock to me as I had no idea that he had been so ill. I am awfully sorry Mother Dear, Uncle was so good to us all and we all loved him very much. Now that he has gone we shall all miss him very much and be able to appreciate how he worked for all of us. I know you loved him Mother because he was your only brother and meant so much to you. It makes me wish more
