My dear Sophie:

Your good letter came to us on Saturday. We are getting along as well as anyone could after this operation, and every thing is working as it should to be a success. Harry was raised up in bed yesterday, and lifted into a wheel chair for fifteen minutes this morning. The drain tube is to stay in for three weeks, which will be another week, then it may drain through the wound for several weeks longer, and if the wound does not
