is due to provide for all the destructions and losses she is responsible for; but they want to take this last opportunity of rejoicing before facing the terrible difficulties of tomorrow. As for Wilson, he has lost the greatest part of the popularity he had when landing in France; during the peace meetings he proved himself to be the most autocratic of all the democrats. We had and have still also lots of strikes; although I don't think Bolchevism would succeed in France, the smallest disorders should be very bad in our very low state of affairs. I wish I were still in New-York, enjoying your company, or better taking part at all your present entertainments, and without loosing any hope of meeting you "some day." I think you are able to get a better time in Vancouver than here.
