singing there at the Furness hospital. Lady Furness has turned one of the large hotels into a hospital & they have 250 patients (officers) convalescing there. It was great fun & I loved doing it.

Doll had closed her town house so when we came down we took this sweet little house at Harrow & are only half an hour away from Oxford Circus by tube so we buzz in whenever we like. I love London & the shops & theatres of course I revel in. I went & saw Lily Elsie in "Pamela" how absolutely lovely she is & such frocks & pearls, but the show is weak even with Owen Nares & G.P. Huntley in the cast.
