so hope you will all have ever so much better luck during 17 and please accept the best of all sorts of wishes for yourself from me, & please don't forget Mrs. Leighton. How is she, is she as jovial as ever? I sincerely hope so, she showed me, & not to mention from old J.G.F. so many kindnesses when we were in Vancouver & that is about the only spot I have never forgotten & its inhabitants. Now Dody, you can't expect much of a newsy letter from me, as you must remember every day is alike to us, never anything new to tell you, so I really don't know how to fill a letter, and I expect by the time the Censor has read through it he will be about fed up with it however they are all a very decent and obliging lot here, so I dare say you will eventually receive this scrawl. You ask about Christine - really Justine, well her hubby and kiddie are all well, he is as perhaps you know a very clever engineer, & is at
