all light hearted - we get a parcel or two every week from the stores & cannot complain up to date of food. Sleeping accommodation our of the trenches is not so bad. It is usually a hard floor & some straw.

By Jove what our Tommies have done is simply marvellous. The better weather is coming but when it was wet it must have been the worst thing possible. They are great little men, the British Tommie & his Officer.

I think we have the Germans beat. It will cost us many more lives yet but we
