in England now, left Christiania shortly after dear old Father died, & is now staying with Mary in Bucks, she has been with Eleanor in Cornwall but doesn't know yet what she will do, whether she will settle in England or go back to Norway, she will probably wait to see what I do when we get back. As you will see we are now allowed to write a letter occasionally which is a great help, & this my first goes off to you, hoping it will find you all well; you see there so many to write to that I can't write very often, so you will understand why letters & cards don't arrive more frequently. We are having the beginning of spring weather here now, but unfortunately too much rain, we've had very little really cold weather, thank goodness, this winter.
