we don't often get a chance to see each other -- I hear [illegible] Johnston is engaged to a very lucky man -- I suppose we will see quite a few more Vancouver men over here before long -- I saw Johnny [illegible] a couple of times looking very fit -- I did have a good time of it in London town. I used to save up & go up for a few days until [illegible] hit it [illegible] so [illegible] it. but a lot of people I know -- There is a meeting of O.P. boys on here now & the room is full -- planning attack & defence -- and complaining of the French & Germans they dig up in the trenches -- Well au revoir Madamoiselle Dodie Leighton --

Very sincerely yours, Jack Leckie
