the nearest cities - "Je suis désolé" -- You all seem to be having a lot of gay times in B.C. -- Oh you "[illegible] Africa" I'd love to have seen it -- Yes the Brooks are "real" people aren't they? I dined there one night before I left and enjoyed myself so much -- I liked them -- I really think people are nicer to you when you are going away than when returning -- I appreciated a farewell at the station in Vancouver immensely -- Kemp has a hard time in the trenches keeping low enough -- It's a good thing Hartmeyer is not along he'd have to wear knee pads. I had tea this afternoon with some of the 7th Sandamore, Leslie, Holmes, Jessop & others --
