Soon after moving down there I got a touch of the "influenza" so popular in Europe now and as a result did practically no flying down there. Then they sent us back "home" to take part in our own offensive opposite Amiens. This was a splendid show, through the R.A.F. had a warm time of it. However I pulled through with nothing worse than a few bullet holes in the planes of my machine. We had it rather easy for a few days after that and then I got my leave. I am not being sent home to instruct as yet so will proceed back to France at the end of the month. Now don't worry about my staying out there so long, dear people; I can come away now any time I don't feel fit, but, you see, every experienced pilot is
