Germany and Belgium. It certainly takes a man with nerve and spirit to go through an experience like that, but old Pat is just that kind of a chap. He says if he had had to remain a prisoner in Germany it would have broken his heart.

I have met a number of other Victoria boys this time. The night before last I saw Harry Robinson, and Herb Ross though not for long. Yesterday I met Louis Grant and this morning Gordon Campbell and Harry Macdairmid. You will perhaps remember meeting Henry's mother winter before last when she said her son Harry had spoken
