"stunting" we will begin to fly "scouts", probably Sopwith "Camels". These are a very fast , single-seater, fighting machine, doing almost 130 miles an hour (This information not for publication). These little machines have a small wing spread, are very strong, light and tremendously high powered. In these we will be "stunting" a good deal - looping, spinning and in fact learning the art of "tumbling haphazard all over the sky". My flight commander, Capt. Gethin, took me up in an Avro and did a few stunts with me. He is a splendid pilot with lots of experience so I felt quite confident in him and
