XXIII May 3rd. We go thro some swampy land today with dense crab apples bushes and many a sore scratch is inflicted on our faces and hands: also quite a lot of "Devils Club" these being most annoying as they always grow where other bush grows and always in places where one needs to take Drawing of "Our boss having a nap after lunch laying before a fire"
