Arrive at Winnipeg late afternoon & change trains. I am impressed by numbers of stalwart young men lounging around stations.

Edmonton 9 pm - not so much level prairie this route - in bad state all day with my head.
In the mountains 9 am - magnificent view Mt. Robson - never a farm all the way down to the Fraser - heavy timber. Meet Verna MacDonald Finlayson & Wiliamson at Prince George - George Ogston at Vanderhoof. Meet Arthur Carr (shot through hip at Festhubert) at Terrace. Evening Wrathall's at Rupert - Ada arrives at midnight on the "Chelohsin" - pouring rain .
