Building Jetty at Pennar Cove - Orderly officer for the day. Rig up derrick at end of Jetty + build barrel raft for use lashing on the struts - Lower Jenkins in a sling until he touches the water amid great enthusiasm from the signal section Bad setback on the Tigris from the Turks.

Marched recruits to R.E. Entrenchments gave 2 half hour lectures on the Flanders Trenches - Filled in Trenches dug by Siege Courses. P.M. Walk with Maj. Hamersley , Sharpe + Lieut. Shepherd to Freshwater Bay - Explored Pembroke Castle - Tea at West's Cottage

16 Palm SUNDAY (107- 259) to Manorbier Castle with Hamersley, Jenkins, Capt. Dunsdon, Jones + Shepherd - Ten mile walk home. Manorbier still with old vaults roofs.
