My dear Mother
Another of your interesting letters arrived this evening, and also one of a few nights ago - Bonny work! Dates of letters were Jan. 10th and 18th. Many thanks indeed Mother; E. Pilkington is much indebted to you! I am glad to hear you are all keeping well and are managing to escape the "Flu" microbe. It certainly is a might nasty thing, that Spanish Flu and it seems to have been particularly prevalent out in Victoria. One cant take any chances with it at all; "prevention is better than cure" and I think when I come out I'll bring my gas mask with me! it might prove useful still, perhaps I'd better bring enough for the whole family!! Cant you see us all sitting in our pew at the Cathedral wearing same!!
Well my chief topic of conversation in this
