queer to think that when I get back I'll be able to take the train to Grouse Nest. Gee what a change! apparently everything is going O.K. at the old place which is very satisfactory to know. It was a splendid thing that you had Lewis fix the leaks before winter rains. This wd save the house tremendously very little spent on it now would put it in first class shape. I only wish there was a paying sheep business to take over when I get back. I think though I could always keep from starving down there anyway and one should be able to turn a few shekels on the timber and cord wood on the place. What about it? Allis tells me "Jessie" was in a railway accident in France last Oct. and had his leg fractured. pretty tough luck on old Jessie! He also told me that old Chief was still in the ring and as full of beans as ever, the old beggar.
