July 5. Wed. A disgusting greasy mess which stank was given out as "margarine" at far kitchen. at 7.15 + is in future to allternate [sic] with "jam" every other day in future. Letters from Muriel + Mrs. Davies.

July 8. Sat. Parcel fr. Mrs. Davies with loaf break, more than half spoiled by mildew.
