the Seine. Morny 5:40 P.M. dusk sets in. Rations given out - Le Bouchy. B. Coy got no tea as A Coy drank it all. I shared the carriage with our Doctor.

Oct 8th - Auxi-le-Chateau 6 A.M. breakfast - Foutel 6:30 Frevent 6:55 stop Petit Houvin 4:20 St Pol junction for Arras 7:30 (3 hrs from Amiens).

Savy - prisoners of War - got out and waited about & got my company together & marched from there with Capt Bennets of A Coy to Beaufort-Malin through Malin. Beaufort being our headquarters

Oct 9th & 10th Resting in Beaufort-Malin. Oxford B.A. & A Parson's son takes on job of servant - for one day - only.

Oct 11th Marched to Liencourt & then on to Estee-Wamin & was met by Capt Bowen R. E. and shown my billet & the mess.

Oct 12th Most of day spent in Orderly Room.
