Dear Miss Russell

Just this card in answer to your most welcome letter dated June 1st. Yes I gess the flowers are looking very nice, how I wish I was there to see them, of corse we have flowers hear but they dont seem so nice I suppose its because we have no interest in anything in this country our thoughts are always at home & of our dear frends. I hope the convention of the (I.O.D.E.) that was held at Victoria was a great success. I am afraid I must close now hoping this card finds you & all frends enjoying the very best of health as it leaves me fairly well except for a sprained wrist. Thank you so much & God bless you for the many kindnesses.

Very Sincerely L/Cpl Percy Tappin
