over for a few of us to report to the Forestry Headquarter he was alowed so many men out of each Canadian Batt over here so he took those that he considered needed a rest most and I have been with him ever since Charlie Hourie Ben Scobie, Bob Norrie Ed Sandholm Russell Craig Joe Lang all Barkerville Stanley & Quesnell men are with him and we are getting on fine it beats the trenches though we are still in range of his heavies we feel pretty safe and are glad of the change but we don't know what day we will be called back to our unit - we are not worrying at least there has been quite a few of our Battallion Knocked out this summer but only the two Boyd boys Chester & Archie killed from up North I just got back from leave to Paris say Fred was you ever in Paris if not if ever you make a good sale go to Paris it is certainly the only town made to order to have a good time in in the world it makes Blighty look like a sidetrack on the Prairie any man who cannot have a good time in Paris there must be some thing wrong with him I was all over the City to the Effel Tower the Palace Napoleons Tomb
