6. so long but not so I never saw her looking Stouter & fresher than she is now. If looks stand for anything she surely has got good cause for feeling hopefull of seeing Barkerville soon. We looked in the directory for her address, tho't maybe as she had been here so long that maybe a census had been taken & we could locate her but nothing doing. We got her address from Mrs. Cowan some time ago but have not been able to get away on days that the hospital was open. We have been on guard twice now. We were on from Sat at 5.p.m till Sun. at 5.p.m last week. While on guard we are on beat for two hours & then have 4 hours off but cannot leave the guard house & must be fully dressed at all times. We sleep with our clothes all on & our cap handy, ready to grab our guns & run out for inspection whenever we are called. Hope we get put on again soon but have a hunch we are doomed for tho
