My Dear Ellen May I wish you all a very Merry Xmas + a bright + happy new year. especially "Little Ellen." I only wish I was with you to help you enjoy every thing. I can see you all around the [trunk?] from home when I think of things like that I get very lonesome + sick of all this war. any body would.
