Jan 7/18 Victoria B.C. Dear Mother: I arrived in Victoria Monday at 3.30 in the afternoon. When I arrived in Sicamous Friday at 7.30 I had to wait till 4.00 Saturday morning for the train. Then I got as far as North Bend, and found a snow slide holding up four more trains bound West, and I do'nt know how many on the other side of the slide bound East. We were stuck here from 10 am till 1.30 am Sunday morning. Then the train moved to Yale 25 miles further down the line, and found a washout which held us till 10 pm Sunday. We arrived in Vancouver Monday at 6 am. I could not get the [gripp] because it was not off the train yet, so I took the check out to Ellen's. The fellows went wild over the honey I brought. I met Mrs Doc Henderson and one of the children
