My very Dear Dodie,

Thanks very very much for the nice Easter card you so very kindly send me. I am sorry I did not answer sooner, but we all have been busy in the gardens lately. Thank you so much for trying to get off work to take me somewhere that time we came in the Bank to see you. You are very very kind to me, and I hope to see you up here some day soon. Give my love to your mother won't you?

I was very sorry to leave Millarville and all my friends and horses. The day I left Millarville to go to Calgary I went in on a load of hay and on the way the hay tipped over and fell on us. And as soon as I heard I had to leave Millarville I went round and said good-bye to all my pet horses. We have our garden in and the potatos in, and our fruit trees are starting to bloom now. You must come up and stay with us for a few days when you come over to Victoria.
