its nearly six months now since I have heard a woman's voice. I am the only Canadian here now there used to be four others but they have been moved so I can tell any Canadian yarns I like without fear of contradiction. It is surprising how quickly time slides along its eight months since I became "ein gefangen". One of the officers a Londoner, says he is a friend of Marie Lyod's. That describes him exactly. This officer paid a visit to a hospital for a few days and keeps us in fits of laughter describing his experiences there, he and another chap divide honours as the camp comedians.

Write me again when you can and tell me some more new ones so that I can spring something on the boys. With best wishes and many thanks Sincerely yours J.B. Rose
