Cy's nervous breakdown - so we shall feel very strange & I fear it may be a little difficult to find just what we want. As they are so much employed otherwise now & ask hideous wages.

It was so kind of "R. F.L" to send the Lieutenant some "comforts"! I can picture his joy at getting them through. Just like him! He are how severely on Rations. s1/3 d worth of meat of each person & 4 oz of butter or margarine a week. How I should love to he left alone with a loaf of new white bread & half a pound of farm house butter. Food is really funny it's so dear. Canadian Salmon 2/10 lbs.

Scotch 4/ - & you are only allowed to buy fish freely - bacon - meat & tinned meat also sugar & fat being all rationed & we can scarcely get cheese - only sometimes a small piece: nevermind, potatoes are cheap & plentiful & eggs can be bought at a price! I'm rather a scare- crow but of course we are all thin & little War - weary like warriors
